Let’s be honest: Do you remember the content of the opening speech at the last event you attended? At the ICCA conference “The Future of Healthcare Meetings” 2024, we decided to do things differently: Instead of listing Zurich's benefits, Thomas Wüthrich, CEO of Zürich Tourismus, Schweiz, and Vanessa Reis, Head of Zurich Convention Bureau, welcomed participants in a fun and interactive way. We took inspiration from “1, 2 oder 3,” a popular TV quiz show known to every child in the German-speaking world, and adapted it for the Kongresshaus Zürich / Zurich Convention Center. The 150 attendees had a chance to test their knowledge about Zurich and learn some fun facts. For answer 1, they moved to the left, for answer 2 to the center, and for answer 3 to the right. Those who guessed correctly celebrated with cheers, handshakes, and smiles—a lively start to the congress!
