Last week, our team took a leap – quite literally – into a thrilling experience at an indoor skydiving center. 🪂   Indoor skydiving was a bold step outside our comfort zones, pushing us to face new challenges head-on. This activity wasn't just about fun; it was an unexpected journey that required us to communicate and support each other in new ways, fostering a spirit of collaboration and empowerment. The results were beyond what we anticipated. Teaching us that every challenge can be overcome. Our UNIQA Re actuaries had a great time attending the European Congress of Actuaries 2024 in (funnily enough) their home city, Rome! It was a great opportunity for them to catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones, all while diving into the latest trends in the (re)insurance industry. They explored topics like AI, climate change, and cyber risk - all crucial areas shaping the future of the (re)insurance and actuarial field. The regular “Spring Meeting” is a chance for our reinsurers to gain a deeper insight into UNIQA´s Special Line portfolios. Last week, we hosted a workshop for the Bond reinsurance programme with its panel reinsurers at our office in Zurich. Events like these help to foster and extend our excellent business relationships. On our Charity Day, we helped to reforest a small piece of forest near Galgenen in the canton of Schwyz, which was destroyed by a hailstorm. The work in challenging terrain and heavy rain showed the great commitment of our employees. We have taken a further step in our digitalisation strategy. Since the beginning of March 2024, all employees have been using JobDone to record working hours, apply for and authorise absences and record sick days. The functionality of the cloud-based workforce management solution is highly customisable and makes employee scheduling, time tracking and communication much easier for companies.   Many thanks to Lucky R.
