⏰ Early detection of Alzheimer’s risk isn’t a death sentence; it’s an opportunity to transform your present and future life and health. 🙈 At TrueYouOmics, I constantly encounter concerns about the anxiety that can come with knowing one's elevated risk for certain diseases. Some people have told me that is better not to know. ☝ However, this knowledge empowers us to take proactive steps towards better health. 🚀 Take Nicholls’ story, for instance. He has two copies of the APOE4 gene, which increases his Alzheimer's risk tenfold. By making lifestyle changes, he reduced his Alzheimer’s risk score from a concerning 70 to a much more manageable 25. This is a powerful example of how proactive health management can make a significant difference. ⚖ Remember, early detection is the chance to make a change for the better. Everyone deserves the opportunity to know their risk, with the appropriate support and counseling, of course. Exactly 1 year ago Louise Scarlette Maunoir and I applied for the START Global HACK, and both were accepted! On the train to St. Gallen, I met Simon Farshid by PURE chance. Together with Shanelle Glocker, we created something beautiful, bringing us to the main stage where we couldn't believe (to this day) that we won the START HACK 2023. TrueYouOmics was just a vague idea back then. Then the START summit catalyzed my motivation and spirit to "One Day" have my own booth where we share our vision. This "One Day" was last week. Together with Dominic Mehr and Andrés Lanzós we gave away: - 15 hours of combined talking - 64 shown demos and - 103 pieces of Toblerone but most amazingly - We made it to the FINALE and secured the 4th place in the START SUMMIT Startup competition, pitching our way through 1000 other Startups that applied!
