The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined in the UN's 2030 Agenda set a powerful vision for a sustainable, prosperous future for both people and the planet. We are proud to focus on six of these goals where we can have a meaningful impact: Affordable and Clean Energy: We are committed to boosting renewable energy use and enhancing energy efficiency as part of our Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Decent Work and Economic Growth: Ensuring a safe, supportive work environment is our priority, and each year, we invest in the next generation by offering apprenticeships that help build skills for the future. Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure: Steel is essential for sustainable infrastructure. Our technical sales and R&D teams work continuously to create innovative products that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Responsible Consumption & Production: Recycling is at the heart of what we do. Our production leverages 100% electric arc furnaces with scrap-based inputs, maximizing recycled content and supporting the circular economy. Climate Action: Our carbon footprint is significantly lower than the industry average. With an electric arc furnace production route, we’re well-positioned for a decarbonized future . Partnership for the Goals: Our partnerships in green steel, scrap and waste management, and with local communities are key to driving sustainable progress. Join us on our journey to build a sustainable future. How can we collaborate to make an impact? #SustainableDevelopment #SDGs #GreenSteel #CircularEconomy #ClimateAction

Few materials offer the versatility of steel. By adding alloying elements, we can tailor steel’s properties to meet the diverse needs of industries ranging from automotive to aerospace. Alloys are created by adding elements like carbon, chromium, and nickel to base metals, transforming them into materials with enhanced strength, corrosion resistance, or heat tolerance. Steel becomes even more versatile with the addition of these elements. Learn more about the alloying elements and their effects. We believe in supporting dreams, no matter how big they are. That’s why we made a small athlete sponsorship to Giulia Rizzi, an Italian epee fencer who lives near our TFA site and is well-known in the area. Giulia, born in Udine in 1989, started fencing at the age of 6. Her dedication led her to win a bronze medal at the Italian championships at just 22. She later moved to Paris, training with renowned coaches Daniel Levavasseur and Benoit Janvier, refining her skills to become a world-class athlete. Looking back at the Olympic Games 2024, Giulia’s moment of glory remains unforgettable. Giulia and her teammates competed in the final against France. In a thrilling match Italy triumphed 30-29, earning the first-ever gold medal in women's epee team competition! 🥇 A huge congratulations, we are glad to have played a small part in making Giulia's dream come true. #OlympicGames #Fencing #CorporateResponsibility #SwissSteelGroup #DreamBig
