🏆 Our hangar became a soccer field ⚽️ We swapped our work clothes 👨🏭 for jerseys 👕 and our toolboxes 🛠 for footballs ⚽️ as we hosted our traditional football tournament in our hangar! You can play your part, too, in ensuring a smooth travel experience. Here are some tips: 📱 Download the SWISS app. You will then receive push messages directly to your phone on any change of your flight’s departure gate or any delay. 🎫 Check in for your flight online before leaving home. The online check-in service can be used within 24 hours of departure via SWISS app or swiss.com. 🛄 Check your registered baggage in at the airport the evening before your flight, make use of the AirPortr service or check in at one of the departure airport’s self-bag-drop machines. 👜 Make your carry-on baggage as light and easy-to-handle as possible. 💊 Be sure to put personal items such as valuables, passport and any medicines in your carry-on baggage, along with any devices such as mobile phones, tablets, power banks or e-cigarettes. ⏲ Check on the latest status of your flight and for any schedule changes on swiss.com before leaving for the airport. 👮♀ Allow sufficient time for check-in, security and passport control at the airport. Great News 🎉 ✨ The EU Commission has given the „green light”, and ITA Airways will soon become part of the Lufthansa Group family. 👨👩👧👦 ✈   The legal closing is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2024. Until then, #ITAAirways and #LufthansaGroup remain competitors. We will communicate more details as soon as the formalities have been fully completed.   We are getting ready for a joint take-off and plan on collaborating closely together on several different initiatives, such as lounge access, loyalty programs, customer service and airport touchpoints.

Jens Fehlinger appointed new CEO of SWISS 👏 🎉 😍     The SWISS Board of Directors has appointed Jens Fehlinger as the company’s new CEO. He will take up his new duties on 1 October 2024. Jens Fehlinger began his professional career as a pilot, has performed a range of management functions within the Lufthansa Group and presently serves as Managing Director of Lufthansa City Airlines. He succeeds Dieter R. F. Vranckx, who has been appointed to the Lufthansa Group Executive Board, on which he will take up his new duties on 1 July 2024. The SWISS Board of Directors has further appointed Heike Birlenbach to serve as Interim SWISS CEO until Jens Fehlinger assumes his new position. Welcome aboard, dear Jens! SWISS earns quality seal for its sustainable business management 🌎 🍃 📋 SWISS’s environmental management system for the 2023 reporting year has secured the company its first-ever validation under Europe’s #EMAS provisions. 🛫 As a result, SWISS has also earned the international ISO 14001 certification for environmental management systems. In the context of the same, SWISS will now be publishing an annual environmental report to help further underline its commitment to sustainable and responsible business management. 📓 The SWISS 2023 Environmental Report presents extensive key corporate, transport and environmental facts and figures.

DAWN of a new era ☀ ✈ ☀ ⛽ Congrats from SWISS as strategic partner and investor to Synhelion on the inauguration of its first industrial-scale plant "DAWN" for the production of renewable solar fuels. Together with our CCO Heike Birlenbach, we were delighted to be part of this extraordinary event in Jülich, Germany. ☀ The cleantech scale-up company and solar fuel pioneer Synhelion is now continuing with the commissioning of DAWN to start solar fuel production soon.   🌍 The widespread use of sustainable aviation fuels is one of the most important measures to achieve CO2 targets in aviation. The opening of DAWN is a milestone in this process. We are proud to support bringing solar fuels to market and to be the first airline in the world to fly on solar fuel produced by Synhelion.
