🇪🇺 The EU #DataAct is on its way, joining GDPR, the #AIAct, and others aiming to create a more consumer-friendly internet in the EU. What are the implications for crypto, #DePIN, & beyond? Data is obviously valuable, but its potential is locked in corporate silos. The Data Act aims to break these silos by enforcing fair access rules across the EU. Covering all connected products, the Act mandates that even non-EU companies meet new data accessibility standards. By 2025, many OEMs will need to provide users access to their device data, with penalties for non-compliance—much like GDPR. https://lnkd.in/e_Fghimx 🚗 🌐 Take connected cars: by 2030, they’re expected to reach 115 million in the EU. Under the Act, car manufacturers will have to shift control of this data from themselves to the users, opening new possibilities in sectors like insurance, maintenance, and more. Streamr helps bridge this gap with scalable data delivery and the pooling of real-time streams into larger datasets. With tools like Data Unions and the Hub marketplace, Streamr is well placed to unlock the value in user data in this transition. The first milestone towards the Native Streamr SDK is complete! 🦾 Signed and unencrypted proxy publishing from the low-level client to a Streamr node is achieved✅ Milestone 1.5 is now underway, bringing wrappers for C , Python, Go, Swift, and Kotlin. This will allow any developer to copy-paste wrapper code and publish signed data to the #Streamr Network in their preferred language. Exciting stuff! ✨
