🌍 The Portugal Renewable Energy Summit 2024 continued strong on Day 2! We couldn’t have asked for a better start, with impactful speeches from the Secretary of State for Infrastructures, Hugo Espirito Santo, and our valued friend Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, CEO of Hydrogen Europe. Following these inspiring talks, Smartenergy took the stage to emphasize renewable energy’s critical role in supporting hard-to-abate sectors. Our Director of Business Development for H2 and e-SAF, Pedro Guedes de Campos, discussed how renewables can drive decarbonization in carbon-intensive industries, highlighting the collaborative efforts essential in this journey. At Smartenergy, we support the entire value chain — from renewables to eSAF, eFuels and hydrogen solutions for hard-to-abate sectors. Together, we can navigate the complexities of the energy transition and build a sustainable future. We’re also proud to announce significant milestones in our Sustainable Aviation Fuel (eSAF) projects in Portugal, as well as three hydrogen projects aiming to decarbonize industry with a combined output of 45,000 tons of hydrogen per year across Portugal and Spain.
