Our founder, Lars Larsen, opened his first JYSK store in Aarhus, Denmark, in 1979. Today, JYSK has more than 3,400 stores in 48 countries around the world. 28 countries are operated directly by JYSK, while the remaining 20 countries are part of JYSK Franchise. With thousands of stores across the world, there is often a JYSK nearby. This makes it quick to explore our assortment, and easy to bring products home. Online, we have room for even more products, and it is crucial for us to make it easy for customers to combine our great store service with our wide online assortment to give the best possible shopping experience. We are very proud of this recognition from our customers, who evaluated us on criteria such as price, product range, friendliness, expertise, ease of purchase, and presentation. And we achieved excellent results in all these areas. 🙌 This was our first time participating in the Retailer of the Year election from Q&A Insights & Consultancy, and we were in the running for three titles. 💬 “The nominations are already proof that we are on the right track in Belgium.     20th anniversary in Ukraine and opening of store #100 🎉 Today, we mark two big milestones in Ukraine with the opening of store number 100 in Chernivtsi in south-west Ukraine and the 20th anniversary of JYSK in the country. The first franchise store opened in Ukraine in October 2004 and in 2012 we took over the business with 10 stores. 🛒 Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, we continue to prioritise the safety of our 880 employees in Ukraine by ensuring that they have access to shelter during air raids. At the same time, we support the rebuilding of the country, securing quality products for Ukrainian homes and creating more jobs in the country. Since February 2022, we have opened 20 new stores, upgraded 17 existing stores to the successful 3.0 store concept and rebuilt 6 stores damaged or destroyed by Russian bombs. Of our 880 Ukrainian employees, 70 have been drafted to the war. 3 have tragically lost their lives in battle. As part of our support of Ukraine, we continue to pay wages to drafted employees and have sponsored furnishing for housing for employees who have lost their homes due to the war. 🙏 Furthermore, we have donated DKK 11 mio. to veterans of the war, charities and nonprofit organisations in the country. 💙 We closed our 13 stores in Russia and left the country permanently in March 2022 due to the invasion of Ukraine. #proudtobeJYSK #retail #store #anniversary #celebration

    We support victims of floodings 🙏 We have been following the devastating floods across Central Europe and have made efforts to support the victims of these terrible situations. In Austria and Poland, we are offering additional discounts for flood victims, which is highlighted on signs in our stores in affected areas and through other external channels. Additionally, in both countries, we have donated products such as mattresses, duvets, pillows, and towels to communities in need. 🛌 In the Czech Republic, just a few weeks after one of our stores was renovated and reopened, the floods reached the town, where it is located. Our colleagues have been working tirelessly to repair the damage and rebuild. When the store reopens in three weeks, we will donate products to the local kindergarten, whose interior equipment was destroyed by the floods. 🛠 Besides that, we have been maintaining ongoing communication with all our colleagues in the affected areas to ensure their health and safety. We have provided assistance on an ad hoc basis, and any employee who has suffered material damage as a result of the flooding and reported a need will receive financial assistance from JYSK tailored to their circumstances.     We are ready to go viral on TikTok 📲 TikTok is here to stay – also in JYSK. This is the result after a test phase, where we have had very promising results. 🌟 TikTok is very different to other social media platforms that we are using. On Meta platforms the JYSK brand is very professional, while on TikTok it is more authentic. It’s possible to react to new trends almost from day to day, while other platforms have longer production time. ⏱ 💬 “On TikTok, we can engage with our customers on a more personal level and respond directly to what they want. We dedicate a lot of time to understand their behaviour on the platform so we can create content that resonates with them. This is a big advantage as many trends are born on TikTok,” says Emma Topp Daugaard, Content Specialist. The work with TikTok is split into organic and paid content. The organic part is only in English and is focusing on inspiration and entertainment. The paid content will be focused on the six local markets; Denmark, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Spain. Here, there will be a mix between the same concepts as for the organic part as well as more product oriented content with focus on trends. 🎯 💬 “We believe that TikTok is the right platform to reach this target group through entertaining, relatable, and inspiring content. For now, we have defined a clear strategy, however, the platform is constantly evolving, why we must continuously adjust the strategy to this development,” says Sara Berthelsen, TikTok Specialist. Since 2006, we have been a member of FSC Danmark, and all our wooden garden furniture is FSC-certified (FSC® N001715). We continuously strive to increase the amount of FSC-certified products in our assortment.     We set new turnover and customer records 🌟 Our turnover increased by 7.6 per cent reaching DKK 41.4 billion (EUR 5.6 billion) for the financial year 2023/24. At the same time, the number of new customers increased with 11.9 million driven by great offers within Scandinavian sleeping and living. 🚀 💬 “I would like to thank our employees for their hard work and dedication and not least their great customer first mindset. Our financial year had a challenging start with low sales, but with our focus on competitive prices and our quality products we succeeded in setting yet another turnover record for JYSK. We also significantly increased the number of customers in our stores in all our countries and online while continuing to gain market shares,” says Rami Jensen, President and CEO for JYSK.
