We are excited to announce the successful completion of the H2020 Mesomorph project by ATLANT 3D and our European partners. This pioneering project has led to the development of an innovative machine capable of producing micro-components with groundbreaking technologies such as femto laser micro-ablation, two-photon polymerization, and atomic layer deposition. This achievement marks a significant advancement in the production of micro-electromechanical systems and micro-devices, setting new standards for their integration in various high-tech applications. The project, which concluded on March 31, 2024, was supported by a 10 million euro grant from the European Commission. This cutting-edge machine was engineered and built by dedicated researchers at the Arm Laboratory (The Laboratory of Automation Robotics and Machines) at SUPSI with significant contributions from ATLANT 3D and other technological partners: University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), Iris SRL, UAB FEMTIKA, nLIGHT, Inc. Europe SRL, Morphica Srl, FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, Politecnico di Torino, STMicroelectronics Italia, Heliotis AG, MCH-Tronics SAGL and Yalosys AG. We look forward to continuing our work at the ARM laboratory to further enhance and demonstrate the capabilities of this technology.
