#VentilationToThePoint: Maintaining prehospital #EtCO2 levels of 35–45 mmHg could improve outcomes in patients with suspected severe traumatic brain injury! Findings from a Dutch study showed that EtCO2 values of less than 35 mmHg were associated with a significant increase in 30-day mortality, highlighting the importance of monitoring and managing EtCO2 levels in patients with severe TBI. 🚒 ✨ A huge thank you to St. Johns County Fire Rescue in St. Augustine, Florida for an outstanding week of installation and training with their new #HAMILTONT1 fleet! Their dedication and collaboration have been truly inspiring. 👏 The HAMILTON-T1 uses #IntelligentVentilation technologies like #AdaptiveSupportVentilation to ensure patients are receiving optimal care during transport. It also reduces the workload and cognitive load on our amazing EMS personnel, allowing them to focus on what they do best - helping people in need. 🙏 #HamiltonMedicalUS #criticalcare #Transportventilation #EmergencyVentilation #EmergencyMedicalServices #EMS #EMT #Paramedics #FirstResponder #TransportVentilator

Update from Osaka! We had a successful Lunch Symposium at the 60th Annual Congress of JSPNM, thanks to our partner Nihon Kohden Corporation. Dr. Terazawa from Gifu Prefecture General Medical Center, along with Prof. Miyata from Fujita Health University, addressed 230 attendees on the topic "Being Successful with SIMV, CPAP, and HFNC." Prof. Miyata chaired the session, and Dr. Terazawa discussed the versatility of Hamilton ventilators (HAMILTON-C1/T1/MR1) for neonatal ventilation, emphasizing their portability and low minimum tidal volume. The feedback from the audience was very positive! Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event! #CriticalCare #SIMV #HAMILTONC1 #HAMILTONT1 #HAMILTONMR1 #HFNC #CPAP

Another round of training with the Hamilton T1 with my "PEEPS" in the Middle East. This time we focused on the in-depth monitored values that the T1 makes available. So much information is at your fingertips that it can be overwhelming at first. The key is understanding what each value represents and what might be considered a normal value. A large part of this data plays a huge part into driving a strategic plan to safely and effectively oxygenate and ventilate the patient. It is awesome when you see someone experience a "light bulb" moment while working with the Hamilton T1 and the Michigan Instrument test lungs we use at our training center. We also took a deeper dive into ASV Adaptive Support Ventilation. The practitioners were amazed at how this mode makes adjustments on the fly to support the patient while implementing safety (lung protective strategies) and comfort (synchrony). The T1 clearly makes my job easier and everyone in the class is amazed at its capabilities.

Bringing the science to the bedside We just wrapped up an excellent #VentilationWorkshop in Tokyo on "From VILI to P-SILI", hosted together with our partner Nihon Kohden Corporation. Dr. Kataoka from Nerima Hikarigaoka Hospital chaired the event, with Prof. Francesco Mojoli from Pavia University Hospital presenting engaging lectures and interactive scenarios.Prof. Mojoli's new method using the P/V Tool to fine-tune PEEP was a hit, focusing on reducing atelectrauma and thus VILI. You can read a publication on the topic here: https://okt.to/RNAuTJ Participants loved the interactive approach and the innovative P/V Tool techniques for lung assessment and recruitment. Thanks to everyone who attended! #PVTool #PEEP #VentilationTraining #RespiratoryCare #RespiratoryTherapy #VILI
