Presenting Naia Trust: The Evolution of Ground Effect Nearly 5 years ago we founded Ground Effect because we knew that our shared worldview could begin to inform investments that embrace all of life’s perspectives. We intentionally referred to our project as a “studio” because we were embarking on an experiment with a mix of activities for which we couldn’t find a clear precedent. Since then, our systemic orientation has supported several ecological expressions: activists, journalists, artists, lawyers, indigenous tribes, entrepreneurs, scientists, land regenerators, and the countless more-than-human kin residing within Earth’s vital landscapes. More than capital deployment, we’ve always thought of Ground Effect as a project of cultural inspiration and spiritual renewal.  As we’ve opened up about our own biophilia and devotional animism, we have advocated for people to perceive and relate to the world as being at one with it. Reflecting on our early learnings and successes, we’ve recognized the need to professionalize and evolve our mission. In this moment of transformation we are becoming Naia Trust, embodying the ethos and portfolio of Ground Effect, while expanding its resources and horizons. Ground Effect will be integrated into and continue to inform Naia Trust. Alexa will serve as its Director, and Joshua will be the Founding Advisor, providing guidance for Naia's expanded vision and leading special projects that are especially experimental or sensitive.  ✧ Join Our Team as a Full-Time Natural Capital Portfolio Manager ✧ Ground Effect is currently hiring for a full time Natural Capital role for the catalytic investment branch of our family office! Highlights of the role include:  ✧ Developing investment strategies aligned with regenerative goals, sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities in sectors like agriculture, food, biodiversity, forestry, conservation, and more.  ✧ The Director will also work to advance innovative financial instruments and structures.  ✧ Responsibilities include investment analysis, due diligence, portfolio management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.  ✧ The ideal candidate should have a background in finance, economics, or environmental science, with at least 8 years of relevant experience, including four years in private equity or venture capital.
