According to the United Nations, 80% of people displaced by climate change are women. If the intersection between climate change, gender issues, and sexual and reproductive health and rights has been largely overlooked in past decades, evidence demonstrating its relevance is now emerging more and more clearly. Rasha Dabash is among the researchers exploring sexual and reproductive health and rights and its intersection with climate change. A multilingual researcher, technical advisor, and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) advocate, Rasha D. has over 25 years of global experience in effectively generating evidence-based change in policies and practice. In the latest Women in Science blog, she shares more about what drove her to pursue this field, the ways in which women offer unique solutions to climate change, and the need for a global, rights-based, intersectional approach to best address the climate crisis. Join us for our interdisciplinary seminar discussion 'Can We Fix the Trust Crisis?' with Drs Melissa Creary, John Lysaker, Odaro J. Huckstep, and Arri Eisen. Stephen Covey described trust as “…the glue of life.” That trust has collapsed. Was the societal weight of infinite scrolling, a tumultuous pandemic, and polarized politics too much? What role did tech and medical advances, the rise of AI, and other factors play? More importantly, what can we do about the critical erosion of trust?
