It was a true pleasure to be part of the #LadiesDay2024 at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and to speak to #PowerfulLadies about #ThePowerOfPulses 🙌🏻 🌿 #EmpoweredLadies #EmpoweredWorld
What a fantastic version of our #LadiesDay2024 at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions! Every year we invite our close female customer and broker partners to a special evening with some educational program as well as an opportunity to network. We were a group of 40 ladies, all very well taken care of and instructed by Swiss Re's amazing kitchen staff! This year we learned about the nutritional facts of #pulses (German = "Hülsenfrüchte"), not just for our own nutrition but also for the nutrition of the soil! What we learned we immediately put into practice and created a delicious 4-course menu, which we then enjoyed altogether in a relaxing setting. Our mission this year: #Empower. #Nourish. #Connect. Many thanks to Lena Rutishauser from Fabas Foods and Sue Tobler from TasteLab for sharing your personal stories as well as educating us about the power of pulses! And thanks to all ladies who participated and made this a memorable night! I cannot wait to host the next edition of this kind. Looking forward to catching up with all of you, soon! 🙌 🌳 💚
CEO at Swiss Climate Foundation / Internal Environmental mangement at Swiss Re / Carbon NetZero - Do our best, Remove the rest
#Ernährung #Lebensmittel #Schweiz #netzero #collaboration #climatetech #startups

Dear Fabas Community, as the effort required for packaging and shipping was not sustainable for our small team, we have decided to close our online shop. But of course our products remain available at your trusted local organic stores 🙌 ➡ For those of you who prefer online shopping: Fabas Swiss Hummus, Falafel, and Burgers can still be found at https://mrvegan.ch/ Fabas Swiss Yellow Peas, Favabeans and Chickpeas are available at https://mahlerundco.ch Thank you for your understanding and continued support 🌱

Continuous improvement is key! We're committed to enhancing our products with the valuable insights of the sensory experiments made by the students of the ETH Zürich. Fabas Foods AG hat dies direkt geteilt
...and so it begins! We kicked off the first batch of #KlimUp startups yesterday. It's truly inspiring to see these dedicated entrepreneurs wholeheartedly committed to driving #decarbonization through their ventures. The nine startups of the first batch: Unbound Potential: Building a new type of flow battery as a key element of the grid of the future. eightinks: Enabling better batteries at low cost and GWh-scale to enable a fully renewables-powered economy. Fabas Foods: Developing innovative protein raw materials for the next generation of plant-based products. EggField: Replacing eggs in the food industry & HORECA with plant-based alternatives. Cotierra (formerly Terra Preta): Biochar production for higher farmer margins and a more sustainable product for consumer. b-char: Designing and deploying Biochar Carbon Removal Factories operated by local partners in tropical countries upwater AG: Offers exhaust air measurement technology, intelligent software and advice on monitoring and reducing emission for wastewater treatment plants. Rematter: Offer a sustainable alternative to traditional concrete floor. Borobotics GmbH: Developing a new type of bore-robot specifically designed for geothermal drilling in tight spaces such as urban areas. Our focus now is twofold: to help these innovative solutions to scale together with the Swiss startup ecosystem, and to identify additional high-potential climate-tech startups to join the mission to get Stadt Zürich to #netzero by 2040. The call for applications for the second cohort of the KlimUp Program is now open. Find the link in the comments. #kickoff #klimup #netzero #2040 #climatetech #startups

Schweiz: ja! Teuer: nein!
