Our final anecdote highlights why company founder GHE was truly special. Read Eugen Chiorean's heartwarming story 👇
"After obtaining my high school degree in 2002, my university in Pforzheim required a one-semester internship before starting my business administration program.
One evening, after a late shift as a nurse at the Kantonsspital in Bruderholz, my mother told me she had spoken with Mr. Georg Endress, founder of Endress Hauser, who happened to be one of her patients. Endress Hauser was known for its loyalty to employees, especially in tough times. She thought her chat with Mr Endress was very pleasant and offered to talk with him about my search for an internship, and I eagerly agreed.
A few days later, my mother talked to him and Mr. Endress promised to help. The next day, I received a call from the training department in Maulburg inviting me to an interview. Although I was nervous, the meeting was more about clarifying internship details than about introducing myself.
I was fascinated when Mr. Endress told my mother I could have a good career at Endress Hauser if I worked “only half as hard as his mother.” I was amazed that, even while ill, he took the time to help a nurse's son, opening the door to my professional career.
I unfortunately never had the chance to get to know Mr. Endress personally. But my loyalty to the company and the family is still based in large part on this story and the role that Georg H. Endress played."
This final story concludes our series of anecdotes from employees and family, honoring the centenary of our remarkable founder, Georg H. Endress. Thank you for following the journey! 💙
