Our team in Cileungsi, Indonesia, has integrated #GenAI into our eWATCH energy efficiency program, and the results are promising! 🚀 Quick recap: eWATCH™ oversees and optimizes all forms of energy use at #Clariant. By incorporating #GenerativeAI, our team enabled advanced analytics, anomaly detection, and energy usage trend analysis. In the first trial on Line 1, our #RealPeopleofClariant were able to reduce electricity intensity/ton by 12% and gas intensity/ton by 18%! 🔋💡 If we can replicate these results across other products, it would lead to significant additional savings in both CO2 emissions and costs. I recently had the pleasure of joining the EMEA Engineering & Process Technology teams for an inspiring workshop on #GenAI. We discussed our #DigitalStrategy and how cutting-edge technologies like #AI will drive growth, efficiency, and transformation across our company.   Our digital solutions team delivered an insightful presentation, diving deep into the technical foundations and current capabilities of GenAI models, including our own #CLARITA tool. They showcased several impressive applications where CLARITA is already making an impact or being piloted, highlighting the very tangible benefits and potential of these technologies.   My favorite part was definitely the ideation sessions. It was truly exciting to brainstorm new applications of CLARITA, both within individual fields and across different business functions. You could feel the enthusiasm and creativity of the teams, which perfectly reflects our innovative spirit. I was really impressed by the engagement and application ideas shared during the workshop. It’s clear that Clariant is primed to be a leader in #ArtificialIntelligence, and I’m both excited and proud of the talent and drive of our colleagues!   On a more personal note, joining the team for a morning run sparked some fresh ideas I’m eager to explore. We're celebrating #DiversityandInclusion across our company! 😍 🟣 In Poland, our #RealPeopleofClariant organized a culinary event where our team members from Mexico, Brazil, Poland, Ukraine, Argentina, Peru, India, Venezuela, and Kazakhstan showcased their culinary skills and shared cultural stories. It was a wonderful journey connecting each other through shared experiences and rich traditions. 🌮🥟🍛 🟣 In Frankfurt, our colleagues organized an #InclusionDay with Berufsbildungswerk Südhessen gGmbH, raising awareness about people with special needs. Through various activities, our colleagues experienced scenarios similar to those faced by people with special needs. This fostered a deeper understanding and celebration of each one’s unique strengths. 🟣 Across other sites in Germany, our team members celebrated with diversity tables, international dishes, women talks, and discussions on work-life balance. Energized by the time spent with our #RealPeopleofClariant at our Tokyo office and Toyama production site. #Japan is bouncing back economically, marked by the end of deflation and a return to steady growth. This is supported by policymakers who are effectively combining monetary, fiscal, trade, and industrial policies to boost productivity. In 2023, Japan's economy grew by 3.5%, the highest since the early 1990s. Although the growth forecast for 2024 is lower but it's expected to pick up again in 2025. Japan is leading in #semiconductors and new energy transformation, and our local R&D teams are well positioned to drive progress in these critical areas. I’m grateful for our engaging discussions and proud of Toyama’s impressive milestone of 7 years with no injury incidents; a testament to the team’s commitment to #safety and excellence.
