Luego del Hackathon de agua y saneamiento “Organización Comunitaria – Innovador” en Medellín a finales de agosto, arrancamos el programa de pre-incubación de cewas para desarrollar el Producto Mínimo Viable con los equipos ganadores, DBO y Aqua S3. Durante un fin de semana en la Universidad de Antioquia, trabajamos en los proyectos y volvimos a Amagá y Ciudad Bolívar para compartirlos y validarlos con los acueductos rurales AsoCamilo y AMBA. ¡Gracias a la Escuela Ambiental. ENG 🔽 Following the "Community Organisation – Innovator" Hackathon on water and sanitation held in Medellín at the end of August, we kicked off Cewas' pre-incubation program to develop the Minimum Viable Product with the winning teams, DBO and Aqua S3. Over the weekend at the Universidad de Antioquia, we developed the projects and returned to Amagá and Ciudad Bolívar to share and validate them with the AsoCamilo and AMBA rural water associations. Thanks to the Engineering Faculty of UdeA, the community members, and the mayors for supporting our entrepreneurs! We’ll keep you updated on this open innovation process. 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘂, 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟯 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱. BrixSan, based in Cajamarca, Peru, is making a big difference by providing 800 families in human settlements and rural areas with odour-free bathrooms. Their eco-friendly products are also helping Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTPs) in Peru improve efficiency and reduce unpleasant odours. By treating over 32,000 m³ of wastewater monthly, BrixSan is transforming sanitation standards in the region. BrixSan participated in the second edition of the LAC Water and Sanitation Hackathon, which we conducted in an online format between 4 and 6 March 2022. They won the sanitation challenge among the 28 teams that generated business ideas. 💧¡El pasado lunes 26 de agosto, junto a Cewas y con el apoyo de CTA_ Colombia y la Gobernación de Antioquia, realizamos el taller de "Diagnóstico y Activación del Ecosistema de Innovación en Agua y Saneamiento Rural de Colombia"! 🤝 🌱 Durante este evento, presentamos los resultados del diagnóstico del ecosistema, realizado en conjunto con Cewas y el Banque Interaméricaine de Développement, y definimos acciones clave para activar y fortalecer estrategias que impactarán positivamente la innovación rural en Colombia.  El ecosistema de innovación en agua y saneamiento en Colombia aún se encuentra en etapas tempranas de desarrollo, donde es esencial continuar impulsando elementos como el asesoramiento y acompañamiento de iniciativas innovadoras para constituir un ecosistema más fuerte.   Contamos con la valiosa participación de aliados estratégicos como la Alcaldía de Ciudad Bolívar, acueductos rurales como AsoCamilo y AMBA, la Universidad de Medellín, Ruta N Medellin, Impact Hub Medellín y emprendedores como Tierra Grata, WS 22 Agua Solidaria, SARA y Telemetrik.
