Last Saturday our systems engineer, Wilfried Liegard, took part in the Paris Olympic Marathon! He was lucky enough to secure one of the coveted tickets and ran the iconic 42.195km course through the heart of the French capital right after the professionals. "The atmosphere was incredible! The first few kilometres felt like a bike race or triathlon, with people cheering us on all the way. The climb up the Pavé des Gardes was tough but exhilarating. "Two decades ago, I stood where our new apprentices stand today. I had the opportunity to show them our bending products and share my journey with Bystronic. My path began with a three-and-a-half-year training program as an electronics technician specializing in industrial technology. After a brief stint in assembly, I found my niche in the Demo and Training Center, where I soon became a valued team member. We recently delivered our 300th Mobile Bending Cell to wiegand.waterrides GmbH! Famous for toboggan runs, children's slides, event slides, and water slides, Wiegand supplies leisure equipment worldwide. With 350 employees crafting products that you can find in Chinese mountains, European amusement parks, American ski resorts, playgrounds, and even cruise ships, they are now automating their manufacturing processes to better meet the needs of its customers.
