Last month was the annual SK/MB Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation Charity Golf Tournament in Winnipeg. Besides having a great day out together, the event raised over $50,000 that will go toward funding organizations across the country that support family caregivers. On August 30, our station at 11724 Alaska Road, Fort St. John, BC hosted a customer appreciation day that also served as a fundraiser for the Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation. Associate Dheeraj Sharma and the team offered snacks and drinks while taking time to speak to their customers about CareMakers. Together, the team collected over $1000 in donations! Thank you to Dheeraj, the team, and all who participated for your support of Canadian family caregivers. We’re taking “mashups” to a whole new level by teaming up with well-known Quebec chef, cookbook author, and social media personality Laurent Dagenais to help Canadians earn more rewards and step up their snack game with Petro-PointsTM SnackUps. Chef Dagenais has created three distinct recipes using his favourite Petro-Canada snacks. “Every time I fuel up at Petro-Canada, I love stocking up on my favourite snacks, so these mashup recipes have been a huge thrill to create. I hope these SnackUps are not only a fun way to cook up something great together, but that they inspire Canadians to get creative.” These recipes showcase the latest way that Petro-Points members can earn more rewards points and experience unique value because members can earn 50% more points on snacks, stretching their dollar further all year long! Kingston, ON Site Operators Patty Price and Mark Snider are lending their support to the 3rd Annual Strides for Caregivers National Walk Campaign for the Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation. Together they’ll be hosting this year’s 5K fundraising walk for the Kingston area on October 17, encouraging their team members to participate and providing a “Care Station” for all the walkers to gather.
