Exciting news! ✨🎓 BC Community Alliance is honored to work with RBC once more to support their scholarship program✨ They are tripling the support👏🏾 One of our amazing students from our Support for Student Learning Program took home the prestigious RBC Future Launch Scholarship last year, which came with an incredible $40,000 to help with their academic endeavors! 🏅 This year, we are excited to announce that we have three more spots available to award a total of $120,000 in scholarships to deserving students from our spring and fall cohorts! 🌟 These scholarships provide up to $10,000 per year to help students with tuition, living expenses, mentorship, and career planning over a four-year period. Thank you, RBC for extending our support program with this award opportunity for a second year! Our students want to be lawyers, engineers, doctors, pharmacists and architectures📈 This week at our Support for Student Learning Program, we learned about investing 101, which they thoroughly enjoyed! We still have spots available, and the scholarship nomination process will be launched on our new platform, Komino which serves as our student's digital community hub. #winning #nextgenleaders #scholarship #preparation #tech

It has been a dream since Tropicraze was founded to have seed capital from our partners without any dilution. This will enable us to strategically invest in order to support jobs globally in addition to enabling us to create jobs locally in Canada. Conducting a feasibility study for various initiatives in my home country of Uganda will be one of these strategies. This will empower Ugandan farmers and boost the local economy in addition to helping Tropicraze develop our iconic organic energy drink. Our study is available at https://lnkd.in/gwwWDmwn. demonstrates "High-Sugar Energy Drinks' Hidden Costs... ...and Healthier Alternatives for Sustainable” Check it out. #energydrink #integrated

High caffeine and sugar content in energy drinks can lead to anxiety, stress, and sleep disturbances. Is your energy boost worth the cost?" Let’s dive deeper into the effects with a 4-step breakdown: Anxiety and Nervousness: Energy drinks like Red Bull and Monster contain high levels of caffeine—up to 160 mg per can. This stimulant can trigger or worsen anxiety, causing symptoms such as restlessness, rapid heart rate, and nervousness. Medical Insight: Caffeine increases the release of adrenaline, the "fight or flight" hormone, which can amplify anxiety responses in the body (Lara, 2010). Increased Stress Levels: Consuming high-sugar energy drinks like Monster can spike blood sugar levels, leading to a rapid release of insulin. This can create a cycle of sugar highs followed by crashes, which can exacerbate feelings of stress and irritability. Medical Insight: Studies have shown that high sugar intake is associated with higher levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, which can contribute to mood swings and stress (Veenstra et al., 2020). Sleep Disturbances: The combination of high caffeine and sugar in drinks like Prime Energy can severely disrupt sleep patterns, especially if consumed later in the day. Caffeine blocks adenosine, a neurotransmitter that promotes sleep, making it harder to fall asleep and stay asleep. Medical Insight: Poor sleep quality and reduced sleep duration due to caffeine intake can impair cognitive function and increase the risk of chronic health conditions like heart disease (Drake et al., 2013). Impact on Cognitive Function: Excessive sugar intake from energy drinks can affect cognitive function, particularly in younger individuals. High sugar consumption has been linked to impaired memory and learning abilities. Medical Insight: Research suggests that diets high in sugar can lead to inflammation in the brain, which may negatively impact cognitive processes and increase the risk of neurodegenerative diseases (Noble & Kanoski, 2016). 👉 Read more on how energy drinks affect your mental health: JOIN THE WAITLIST - LINK IN BIO #MentalHealth #AnxietyAwareness #HealthyChoices
