Kids media companies split their busy calendars open and found a few spare minutes earlier this week all to support the Toronto chapter of the Youth Media Alliance - Alliance Médias Jeunesse and its efforts to raise funds for scholarship programs. Among the participants were 9 Story Media Group, CBC Kids, Spin Master and Guru Studio. After some friendly competition, Blue Ant Media won Best Flag and Best Cheer while Sphere Media took home the bowling bragging rights (with the Kidscreen team coming in third). https://lnkd.in/gVWvsyCU

The impact of a US Netflix window as observed in real-time. Yes, I’m talking about you Peppa Pig. The US is the biggest single market by number of Netflix subscribers, no surprises there, but to quantify it accounts for an estimated 28% of all of the platform's global subscribers (first slide). “Why is this important for Peppa?”, you ask. 2 seasons of Peppa Pig landed on Netflix US for the first time in January of this year, having been on Nick Jr. and all around other various platforms and channels. Congratulations Monica C. and team for a deal well done. Peppa seems to be suggesting you all have an ice cream to celebrate! What’s really fun is now that Netflix are releasing 6 monthly engagement reports, as they did once again today, we can actually see the uplift this US window delivers to Peppa’s engagement on the platform globally, a near 21% increase when we compare the two most recent periods (second slide).
