Tourmaline and Clean Energy are pleased to announce the opening of two new compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations in Alberta, marking a key milestone in our continuing efforts to build Western Canada's first commercial-grade public CNG fueling network. The new locations in Calgary and Grande Prairie, along with the Edmonton station which opened in April 2023, establish a crucial transportation corridor for trucking companies converting their fleets from diesel to CNG.   “We are expanding our multi-year diesel displacement initiative by making CNG more readily available to heavy-duty trucking companies,” said Michael Rose, Chairman, President and CEO, Tourmaline. “Right here in Alberta, we have the technology, an abundance of natural gas, and now the infrastructure to help facilitate a transformative shift in the transportation sector.”   For more information, please see today's press release: https://lnkd.in/g8B5rqtM

Hydro-Québec and the Alliance de l’énergie de l’Est (Eastern Energy Alliance) signed a partnership agreement for the development of 1000MW of wind energy capacity in the southwestern Bas-Saint-Laurent region in Québec. This important partnership is part of Hydro-Québec's Wind Energy Development Strategy, which includes goals to decarbonize Québec's economy, to prioritize development and implementation of large-scale wind power projects and how wind energy fits within Canada's energy mix.

General Fusion Inc. raised C$20 million ($14.6 million) from two Canadian government agencies to help advance #technology that may eventually harness the #energy of the stars in a commercial power plant. Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and the BDC each contributed C$10 million to the #BritishColumbia based company’s Series F round.
