What do you do if your IT sales pitch lacks a unique value proposition?
Most commonly in the product platform I am selling (net new logo), it is the relationship with their current vendor (typically a long tenured one). It isn't so much about product or price, it is how can we solidify a trusting relationship with them. My common question to the champion or buyer/decision maker is what are your KPI's both professionally and personally? And tell me how much of your decision to purchase is product vs price? Usually that opens the flood gates of what is important to that buyer/persona and builds rapport.
