About

I am the Employee Experience Lead on the People & Talent Team at Humi and have been in an ‘Employee Experience’ role for 5 years. Whenever I speak about my role to someone, I joke that I am a ‘Happiness Officer’. My day-to-day consists of building culture, and creating an inclusive workspace where folks feel comfortable and enjoy their job. I have a passion for people and truly making the employee experience memorable from a new hire’s first conversation with Talent Acquisition through their time at the company.

I specifically focus on Onboarding, Learning & Development (People Leaders and ICs), Virtual/In-Person Experiences, Mental Health/Wellness/Well-being, DEIB, Rewards & Recognition, Engagement Surveys and Performance Management.

In my spare time, I can be found eating my way through Toronto’s food scene, taking photos, or planning a themed party.

Please feel free to connect or send me a note to connect! ☺️

In May 2014 I spent a month in Ghana with Links Across Borders helping build a children's library. We stayed in a small remote village, and partnered with a Ghanian organization - DIVOG in order to help build and fill the library. While I was there I was also able to meet Ghanian social service workers, lawyers and police officers. They educated me on their legal system in comparison to Canadian views. I have partnered with the founder of Links Across Borders, Sylvia Morrison, to help collect books and school supplies for the next volunteer trip to Ghana. Collecting is done by book drives, social media and contacting larger consumers. I also speak at the Humber Speaker Series and speak with potential volunteers, explaining my Ghana experiences and how they can help out the organization.
