“I worked alongside Marlie at the Bath Grand Prix event (part of Table Tennis England’s national Grand Prix circuit) in February of 2017. Marlie had volunteered her services for this event and stood out as an ideal candidate for the role. She duly delivered in the role of Press Officer, where she was responsible for writing the daily reports for Table Tennis England’s website. Prompt, punctual and professional, Marlie carried out her work with a fantastic attitude and wasn’t afraid to ask questions to ensure that a great final piece was delivered. As well as the press, Marlie was more than happy to offer her help in other areas of the event, which made her a pleasure to work with. I wouldn’t hesitate in having Marlie back to help in a number of roles at future events.”

The day included top-calibre speakers such as Off the Record host Michael Landsberg, NFL Players Association President Keith Gordon, TSN Host James Duthie, senior administrators and consultants for the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Maple Leafs, representatives from Nike and Under Armour.
Aside from the keynote speeches and panel discussions there was also a career fair and trade floor where delegates had the opportunity to network and learn about work and volunteer opportunities which included companies such the Jays Care Foundation, MLSE, Blade Tech Hockey, and Chartered Professional Accountants Ontario, among others
The success of the conference is highly attributable to the hard work of all 28 members of the UTSB Team, our sponsors, speakers and all delegates.
