Volunteer mentor for GVBOT's Leaders of Tomorrow program, matched with a program participant from a local post-secondary institution.

I take meeting minutes and help plan events as a Board member on Earthsave Canada, a organization devoted to promoting a plant based diet for the environment. I also regularly write blog posts about veganism for the Earthsave website.

I am a member of the Program Committee for the Canadian Science Policy Centre (CSPC). This committee is responsible for planning the CSPC program for the 2021 CSPC conference.

I am a proud volunteer with the Canadian Science Policy Centre (CSPC), after attending the CSPC conference in November 2019 in Ottawa. On this committee, working with a team of colleagues across the country, I review and edit editorials for the website, manually add news items to the CSPC website and contribute to the magazine distributed at the virtual CSPC conference in November 2020.

After volunteering for one report card project with West Coast Leaf, I was asked to return as a volunteer researcher for the organization's report card on the gendered impacts of COVID-19. This volunteer role involved conducting research on government policies, reports, surveys, etc., and creating succinct briefing notes summarizing the research. This project will take 2-3 volunteer hours per week over the course of four months.

I am a volunteer on the Walk for Joy planning committee, planning UBC's annual staff walking challenge. This involves coming up with ideas for the event, attending meetings, and helping with any logistics related to the walking challenge. I have also participated in the Walk for Joy challenge for the past three years, with two years as team captain.

I regularly volunteer at major UBC events, including convocation and the UBC Connects Speaker Series. This role has involved handing out drink tickets at the door, helping VIP attendees find their seats, greeting guests, and assisting with way-finding. These types of roles are in addition to my regular employment at UBC and are on a volunteer basis outside of work hours.

I was a volunteer researcher with West Coast LEAF, the first and only organization in BC dedicated to using the law as a strategy to work towards an equal and just society for all women and people who experience gender-based discrimination. I have researched how recent government policies and funding have impacted women and gender minorities for West Coast LEAF's annual report card project.

I am a member of the Toronto Vegetarian Association, and a member on the Governance Committee. I am the secretary of the committee, taking accurate and detailed minutes. I contribute to governance policies and help research not-for-profit board best practices.

I am a volunteer member on the CANFAR Thirty Under 30 Committee. I am passionate about HIV/AIDS awareness and fundraising. I assist the CANFAR Thirty Under 30 on the Social Media sub-committee. My work is focused on administering the committee's Twitter account, including the use of Hootsuite.

Responsible for encouraging coworkers to donate to health charities, and organizing fundraising events.

Volunteered at the annual Veg Food Fest, for the second year in a row. Signed up for two shifts: Toronto Vegetarian Ambassador and volunteer check-in. Provided friendly, efficient service to festival attendees and fellow volunteers.

Conducting ticketing for the 10th Annual Vegan Bake-Off. Answering questions and providing assistance to bake-off attendees. Familiarity with Eventbrite technology and iPad use.

Volunteer for the 33rd annual Veg Food Fest. In addition to attending a training session, I volunteered for two shifts throughout the weekend including Survey Attendant and Costume Ambassador.

I am the PSAB branch lead for the OPS Federated Health campaign. Federated Health Charities is a workplace charitable campaign that allows members of the Ontario Public Service (OPS) across Ontario to support up to 16 health charities through payroll deductions, donations and special events. I will be organizing and leading the fundraising efforts within my branch of the OPS, including disseminating fundraising materials, keeping track of donations and encouraging others to participate.

Along with Lauren Cardinal, my co-chair, we plan a variety of social events for our MPA cohort to encourage amity and networking.

Along with my co-president, Michael Brophy, we organized learn to curl events, ratified the club, and facilitated varsity curling at Acadia University.

For two years, I was a Governor on the Acadia Board of Governors. My sub committees included Governance Committee, Student Life Committee and Enrolment and Marketing Committee.

I was the student representative on the Town of Wolfville Core Area Housing Strategy Task Force. On this task force, we developed a policy recommendation document for the Town of Wolfville regarding quality and stock of housing in the core area. This required research into current practices and research of how other communities near universities operate.
