Frustratingly, this supplier consistently charges a fair price for their goods. The issue? Their competitors demand prices tenfold higher, regardless of the superior quality of our small supplier’s offerings. It’s a classic case of perceived value. Consider this: If we were to break down the chemicals composing an average 65-kilogram human being, the total cost would hover around £500. But can we truly put a price tag on a person? Well, that depends on where you stand in the world—some would argue more, some less. Now, shift gears to iPhones. Are they genuinely worth their hefty price tags? It’s an age-old lesson: Value is what people are willing to pay. Make your product too cheap, and it lacks credibility; make it too expensive, and customers balk at the return on investment.
