With more than 20 years in progressive positions in energy sector public affairs, policy and business management, Jacquie has led, facilitated and been part of teams working across industry and government. This includes progressive positions at Ontario Power Generation (OPG) where she served on the executive management team. She is president and managing partner of Querencia Partners Canada Ltd. and its subsidiary, Joule Communications. Jacquie also served as founding executive director of the Brilliant Energy Institute at Ontario Tech University.

A former journalist (1994-2003) and currently a fellow with the Canadian Global Affairs Institute, Jacquie writes and is a frequent speaker on energy policy and communications. She teaches reputation management in the McMaster University Master of Communications Management program. She is an adjunct professor in the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities at Ontario Tech, where she teaches energy policy. In 2021, she received the Howard A. Smith Outstanding Contribution Award from the Canadian Nuclear Society/Canadian Nuclear Association.
