Repro Uncensored shares this new research by Plan C Pills and Women on Web, revealing that Bing filters out essential abortion resources when “abortion” is correctly spelled. Misspellings like “abbbortion” yield accurate results. This impacts those urgently seeking abortion care both in the US and worldwide. Correctly spelling “abortion” often excludes key resources, impacting organizations like the @reprorights, @ma_hotline, @abuzzhealth, and @abortionfunds. The consequences are potentially life-altering and raise ethical concerns about AI’s future, as @chatgpt also pulls results from @bing. We urge @microsoft to ensure accurate abortion info and foster transparency and accountability in Big Tech. ➡ Read our blog at https://lnkd.in/gXWqBtfs #AbortionAccess #BigTech #ReproductiveRights #Bing #Microsoft

📣UPDATE The court decided against Women on Web in the appeal against the administrative site-blocking order issued by the Korea Communications Standards Commission (KCSC). We express regret over the court's continued denial of women and pregnant people’s right to health and information, a struggle ongoing since 2019. We remain committed to providing services in South Korea, with or without censorship, and plan for further action, including a possible constitutional appeal. Open Net and local organizations will continue their support for Women on Web until the right to abortion is realized in South Korea. 🔗 Read more about the verdict: https://lnkd.in/gZYfyjeK #DigitalRights

❤️ Women on Web supports the Italian Pro-Choice Movement and anyone with an unwanted pregnancy in Italy that has trouble finding access locally. “All kinds of people have unwanted pregnancies and end up looking for safe and private abortion services – regardless of their religion or political views. With the decision to allow anti-abortion groups into family planning clinics the government turns itself against all women and pregnant people, all families, their own people, and clearly against high quality health services and human rights standards.” Venny Ala-Siurua, Executive Director of Women on Web. 📸 These powerful images are in Rome on 22 April 2024, in response to the expected senate decision organized by Non Una Di Meno. We are happy to be working side by side with amazing activists! 💬 You can reach out to [email protected] with an unwanted pregnancy for help requests for abortion. ➡ Share this post with your network to spread the word!

🇮🇹 On the 16th of April, Italy's right-wing government made another move against women's rights and access to abortion. Measures, like the possibility for anti-abortion groups to be involved in public family planning institutions, on EU funding just passed the House of Representatives, awaiting a decision by the Senate. This is unacceptable! 💔 Let's make sure that we teach one another about safe abortions with pills at home! 💊 We will keep having abortions, we will care for each other! We stand together! 💪❤️ ➡ If you have an unwanted pregnancy, you can reach out to us at womenonweb.org.
