🌍 What is the Circular Economy? 🌿 In a circular economy, nothing goes to waste. It's a smarter, more sustainable way of doing business—focused on reusing, repairing, refurbishing, remanufacturing, and recycling products and materials. ♻️ Rather than seeing waste as a cost, the circular economy turns it into a resource, helping to protect the environment and strengthen the economy. 🌱 This October, join us in celebrating Circular Economy Month! #CircularEconomyMonth #CircularEconomy #WasteToResource #Sustainability #InnovativeSolutions

On Friday, W2RO CEO Ashley De Souza attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Convertus Group and York Region (The Regional Municipality of York) Biofuel Facility. This advanced Biofuel facility will have the ability to process up to 169,000 tonnes of green bin material per year, diverting up to 160,000 metric tonnes of organics from landfill each year. By utilizing anaerobic digestion technology, the Biofuel facility will significantly reduce the CO2 emissions of processing organic green waste by 12,000 tonnes per year. Additionally, the new Biofuel facility’s strategic location will significantly reduce annual transport mileage for the region and associated GHG emissions by 15,000 tonnes per year. Congratulations to Convertus and York Region for this impressive facility and your commitment to a circular economy!
