We are partnering with the City of Brantford, ON, Canada to launch an Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) program to curb speeding and enhance road safety. ASE systems use cameras and sensors to detect speeding vehicles and capture images, which are then processed, and fines are issued. This initiative builds on Ontario's 2017 Safer School Zone Act, as well as recent regulations that streamline penalty administration for municipalities. This project spotlights our role as an expert in ASE initiatives and improving road safety across Ontario and beyond. We had an incredible time at the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) #UtilityLeadershipConference! 💧💡 Our team, including Catharine (Katie) Richardson, PE, ENV SP, had insightful discussions on energy management and funding opportunities for clean water utilities.    "It was an honor to attend the conference alongside industry leaders and to have the opportunity to present with Kevin Shafer, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District. The forward-thinking work they are doing in energy planning is not only crucial for the future of our industry but also vital for the communities we serve. Their innovative approach sets a benchmark for how we can all contribute to a sustainable and resilient future." - Katie Richardson    Congratulations to Oluwole McFoy, P.E., General Manager of Buffalo Sewer Authority, on his successful term as NACWA President! We’re grateful to have sponsored the President’s Reception. We also welcome incoming President Diane Taniguchi-Dennis and look forward to her tenure. We appreciate the dedication of both leaders, as well as the valuable work of Adam Krantz and the NACWA Team.      #TYLinConnects #WaterResouces #EnergyManagement #UtilityLeadership #CleanWater #NACWA

CEO of TYLin | Head of Sidara Global Infrastructure Brands | Leading a Team of 5000 Professionals in the Design and Development of Infrastructure Worldwide.

Recently, I had the opportunity to tour the Oakridge Centre Redevelopment in Vancouver—a landmark initiative poised to reshape the city's urban landscape. Our Introba team was integral to its success, offering specialized master planning, mechanical and fire protection engineering, energy modeling, and sustainability consulting services. Spanning 4.7 million square feet, the development features a 1.2 million square foot shopping mall and commercial area, a 430,000 square foot office building, thirteen residential towers (ranging from eight to forty-four stories and totaling 2.9 million square feet), a civic center, and three levels of underground parking. Our involvement focused on optimizing passive design strategies and leveraging synergies between different building types to maximize energy and resource efficiency while reducing operational and embodied carbon. We also conducted a feasibility study for a low-carbon energy supply, evaluating four system options in the context of the District Energy System (DES) for the Cambie Street corridor. With the preliminary analysis complete, we are now fine-tuning an energy system to fit the scale of the Oakridge project and align with future DES requirements. Our approach integrates mechanical and fire protection engineering, energy modeling, and sustainability consulting, working with a broader team to achieve diverse sustainability objectives, including energy and water efficiency, carbon reduction, rainwater management, and affordable housing. A heartful thank you to Chris Doel, Isabel Tiemann PEng CEng MCIBSE, and Jubin Jalili for showing me around the site! To learn more about our work on this project ➡️  https://lnkd.in/gwtrN5Hm

Signing the pledge for the Equity in Infrastructure Project (EIP) with fellow industry leaders was a profound moment of unity and purpose. Our joint commitment to this initiative embodies our deep-seated resolve to drive positive change and improve infrastructure for generations to come. EIP, an initiative by Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs (SEE), aims to enhance public contracting practices by boosting opportunities for Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs). Our mission is to build generational wealth and close the racial wealth gap through more prime, joint venture, and equity contracts. By December 2025, Pledge signers will work to: 🔸 Increase the number, size, and proportion of contracting opportunities for HUBs. 🔸 Boost HUBs' roles as prime contractors. 🔸 Streamline contracting processes for HUBs, focusing on certification, payment, and data transparency. 🔸 Enhance financing options for HUBs through partnerships. 🔸 Grow the number of Pledge signatories.
