As we wrap up the year, we want to send a special THANK YOU to all our volunteers for their hard work and dedication each and every day, which made this year a tremendous success! Without their unwavering support, we wouldn't be able to offer the wonderful programs and benefits that all our members enjoy throughout the year. 🚀 Here are some of the success highlights: ⭐ Our volunteer community grew by 90% ⭐ We sold out 13 in-person events ⭐ Hosted two new fabulous workshops ⭐ Expanded our website with new pages and sections ⭐ Developed a new bursary program ⭐ Released over 12 new blog posts, and much, much more! None of this could have been accomplished without the time and effort by our dedicated volunteer community. A heartfelt thank you to all volunteers and our board members (who are also volunteers) — we truly appreciate you! 🫶🏻 A special shout out to Rhythem Raswant and Edwar Dommar, CSPO who organized the volunteer social event at the CRAFT Beer Market on Tuesday night! It was great to see you all in person, and to celebrate all our accomplishments! THANK YOU!

🌟 Celebrating a Remarkable Term: A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Outgoing President 🌟 We are excited to share a heartfelt reflection from our outgoing President Rina Whittaker, whose leadership and dedication over the past three years have been instrumental in steering the Toronto Product Management Association to new heights. Rina’s journey has been filled with unexpected challenges, growth, and triumphs. Under her visionary leadership, and with her fellow directors (Adam Aronson, Heidi Ram, Victor Skrylev, Andrew Williams, Stacey Feero, Razib Ahmed, Rhythem Raswant, Nathan Nemirovski, Harman Arneja and Shawn Omstead), the TPMA has achieved incredible milestones: ✨ Our member base grew 675 % over the past three years ✨ Our volunteer community flourished under our community managers Razib Ahmed, Barbara Szreder and Edwar Dommar, CSPO, ✨ We returned to in-person events, with tickets selling out multiple times. ✨ Our mentorship program expanded, pairing almost 100 mentor-mentee pairs this past year alone ✨ We launched new workshops with outstanding responses. ✨ Our members facilitated an AI Community of Practice group, organizing multiple events supported by the association. ✨ We proudly announced the long-awaited Alan Armstrong Bursary, creating opportunities for TPMA members to further their careers in product management through education. Read the full blog post here: https://lnkd.in/gc4YtMVU These achievements would not have been possible without the passion, dedication, and tireless efforts of Rina. Her leadership has left an indelible mark on the TPMA, and we are deeply grateful for her contributions. As we look to the future, we are excited to build on this strong foundation and continue driving the TPMA forward. Thank you, Rina, for your unwavering commitment and for inspiring us all. Here’s to the next chapter of TPMA!

What an end to our 2023/2024 season! Thank you to everyone who came out, shared your voice, and cast a vote to elect our new board. Congratulations to our new board members Barbara Szreder, Care Fader, and Aaron Mohammed! We also deeply appreciate the contributions and participation of our other nominees Sam Kawsarani, Joyce Liu, Lucas Mendonca, Pam Hernandez (she/her), Ben McPhee, Joel Koroniak, and Amita Choudhary MBA., PMP. You're all incredible product people! We also want to wish our departing board members Rina Whittaker, Adam Aronson, and Heidi Ram all the best! These three have truly been the heart and soul of the TPMA for the last few years and have done some amazing things to grow the organization and revitalize it post-pandemic. The organization wouldn't be where it is today without their amazing leadership and contributions. We'll be taking a break from in-person events for July and August, but watch out for online events throughout the summer!
