NEON has acquired Mike Flanagan’s THE LIFE OF CHUCK, which won the #TIFF24 People's Choice Award, presented by Rogers Communications. The film, an adaptation of Stephen King’s novella, had its World Premiere at the Festival and stars Tom Hiddleston, Mark Hamill, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, and Jacob Tremblay. https://lnkd.in/d3iQ69kg

Joined by TIFF CEO Cameron Bailey, the directors shared valuable insights into their creative exchange, their unique approaches to documenting social and political change in their respective countries, and the deeply collaborative filmmaking process, regardless of format or length. Since 2022, Visa’s Sharing the Screen programme has increased access to TIFF programming for over 1,700 community members. This includes individuals from non-profit organizations, registered charities, and peer-led groups. At #TIFF24, Visa partnered with TIFF to provide 500 complimentary tickets to screenings during the Festival, and hosted a Creator Talk event with K'naan Warsame, director of MOTHER MOTHER, attended by over 80 community members. Peroni Nastro Azzurro, the Official Beer of #TIFF24, brought the vibrant spirit and superior taste of Italy to both the Festival Village and TIFF Red Carpet, creating an unforgettable experience for their guests at this year’s Festival. This year’s activation featured delicious bites from international celebrity chef David Rocco, alongside the exciting debut of their new Peroni Nastro Azzurro Stile Capri beer. Adding to the occasion’s significance, attendees made a lasting impact, as proceeds from purchases beyond the complimentary samples were donated to the TIFF Every Story Fund, which supports equity, inclusion, and diversity in film.
