In our final session at Summit, Marcelo Cortes, co-founder and CTO of Faire, chatted with Marianne Bulger (True Search) and shared his vision of infusing the Silicon Valley mindset into Canada while advocating for a uniquely Canadian identity in the tech landscape. He emphasized the synergy between design, product, data and engineering teams at Faire, highlighting the critical role of hiring the right talent who are committed to excellence and driven to be the best. Marcelo challenged the notion that Canada should strive to be the next Silicon Valley, pointing out Canada's distinct advantages in lower attrition rates and higher quality of life.
