Last month, our people came together across North America for our #NourishingOurNeighbours campaign, joining in the fight against food insecurity in our local communities. From volunteering to donating, more than 1,300 members of our team logged 6,298 volunteer hours, donated over 31,000 lbs of food (double our goal!) and contributed more than $900,000 to important causes across North America. Throughout the month of September, employees participated in events to learn about Indigenous culture and support reconciliation efforts, including a blessing of our Indigenous cultural space and meeting room in the TC Energy Tower, tree planting at Siksika First Nation, fish scale art session, local artisan market and more. Today on #NationalDayforTruthandReconciliation, we wear orange shirts to symbolize the experiences of children affected by residential schools. It was an exciting week attending Concordia Summit 2024. Over the past few days I've had the opportunity to be a part of conversations with leaders from across North America and hear their thoughts on what the future looks like, both domestically and abroad.   I was honoured to join a panel discussion with Hon. Larry Kudlow and Hon. Andrew Wheeler on how North American energy, primarily from natural gas and LNG can 'Energize the World': https://lnkd.in/gcpD7Y6X   As I look to the next 10, 20, or 30 years, between technological advancements, population growth, and the need to enhance quality of life in developing countries underscores a pressing demand for more energy. In North America, we have the opportunity, and the responsibility to harness every form of energy as sustainably as possible and to increase the supply of natural gas to other regions.

It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to chat with Larry Kudlow on Fox Business Network about the importance of increasing our energy resources in order to meet the growing demand for energy both here and abroad. I truly believe that in order to meet this demand, we need to embrace the concept of "energy addition"— we need more of every form of energy, and the infrastructure needed to deliver it. https://lnkd.in/g-HqhDCY   As populations continue to grow and economies develop, the need for reliable and diverse sources of energy becomes more and more crucial. North America has the opportunity to be a world leader in energy supply and security through our vast natural gas and LNG resources. Transitioning from coal to natural gas for power generation not only reduces emissions but also ensures affordable and reliable energy for our communities and industries. We've already seen this in the United States.   Natural gas is an essential, long-term fuel that provides the electric grid with stability and resilience.

For #NationalCleanupDay, we’re recognizing our partners at Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup for their efforts to keep plastic out of the Great Lakes! Through our #BuildStrong program, we supported the purchase of a new BeBot — an eco-friendly beach cleaning robot that mechanically sifts sand, rakes seaweed, & levels sandy areas to remove plastic waste and other debris without harming the local environment. Our dedicated TC Energy volunteers joined the effort this summer, helping to collect nearly 13 lbs of waste and litter from the shorelines of Petoskey State Park in Petoskey, Michigan. This initiative reflects our commitment to environmental stewardship and championing sustainable practices. Together, we’re making a positive impact in the communities we call home!
