Designing and piloting the Empowerment Labs program for Step Above Stigma was an amazing experience. I designed it with one goal in mind: to create workshops that are truly actionable. Below is a quick 2-minute video I made summarizing the impact of this initiative. But here’s a quick snapshot: - 7 labs executed - We explored topics such as burnout, anxiety, gaslighting, values, and leadership - 200 individuals impacted - 97% reported acquiring a new tool for their mental health toolkit (a.k.a. they are now able to take ACTION to improve their #mentalhealth) Thank you to Andrea Gibson, Anjali Badwal, Jonathan Friedman, Sierra Richards, Shanna-Kay Stephens, and Trisha Nelson for being such wonderful facilitators. A huge thank you to Royale (J.D. Irving, Limited), Jessica Madia, and Wendy Cerilli for supporting our cause. And of course, thank you to the entire SAS team for your support in planning and executing each session: Ampai Thammachack, Teri Campbell, Alexander Peh, Simran Dhaliwal, Tessa Gizzarelli, Amanda Black, Jake Eisen, OCT, Cayleigh Pratt, Laura P., Ghazal Khademi, Ella Blondin, & Nikita Behl! Stay tuned for the fall!
