Take comprehensive drug analysis anywhere. Our last post walked through the speed and ease of generating a result on Amplifi ID's bulk scan mode. The next question we normally get is, can I set this up away from our main facility ? Absolutely. Given the growing demand for in-field testing, we needed to make our system adaptable to diverse environments and situations. Amplifi ID has the portability to be taken on the road and used for field testing. We've packed the device in a ruggedized, water proof, and shock proof case that makes transportation light and hassle-free. And, once you're set up, the rechargeable battery gives you over 24 hours of continuous operation. Great interview from one of our early customers in Moncton, NB utilizing Amplifi ID in their frontline drug checking service. They perfectly articulate part of the value of what rapid drug checking data can do for overdose prevention and public health. Naloxone (Narcan) does not reverse the effects of xylazine and benzodiazepenes, and this can cause serious complications with overdoses especially when these drugs are mixed with synthetic opioids like fentanyl. People accessing overdose prevention services, frontline healthcare workers, and first responders can greatly benefit from this knowledge to know what they are dealing with. This week, we hosted our first virtual Amplifi ID user session, where our team and our public health customers from around North America gathered to further their knowledge on the technology and hear from leaders on how they have successfully launched and scaled up their drug checking programs. Great practical presentations on Raman Spectroscopy from our Lead Data Scientist, Michael Grossutti and our CTO, Juan Gomez along with excellent talks from several of our Canadian users. Big thanks for all the speakers and everyone who attended. Detecting noteworthy substances of concern at minute concentrations (1% wt/wt or lower) AND in combination with other highly potent drugs is a necessary capability for analyzing drug samples in the modern landscape. Recently, our team released a comprehensive study we did on xylazine and fentanyl mixture detection within complex drug samples (including mass-spec checked real world samples) on Amplifi ID.
