Our President and CEO, Michael Goehring took to the stage to moderate an insightful panel on critical minerals at the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region (PNWER) Annual Summit in #Whistler yesterday. The panel discussed responsible mining and mineral processing within the Pacific Northwest region; opportunities to build out a regionally based critical mineral supply chain; and enhancing First Nations and Indigenous participation and partnerships within the sector, across the region. One of the key takeaways from the panel: with the right policy direction, the region can host a robust #criticalmineral supply chain to support climate action, economic reconciliation and help meet North America’s technology, defence and security objectives. Thank you to #PNWER, and the panel of experts: Heather Exner-Pirot, Senior Fellow and Director of Natural Resources, Energy and Environment, with the Macdonald-Laurier Institute; TJ Parhar, Executive Lead, Mining Regulatory Reform, for the BC Ministry of Energy, Mines, and Low Carbon Innovation; Doug Brown, Vice President Corporate Affairs, Teck Resources Limited (Doug is also the Chair of the Mining Association of British Columbia); and Nalaine Morin, Vice President, Environment & Regulatory Affairs, Skeena Resources Limited. #PNWER2024 #criticalminerals #economicreconciliation

Last week, the Skeena team participated in the Tour de Telegraph. Our team cycled an amazing 112 km from Telegraph Creek to Dease Lake across beautiful Tahltan territory. Skeena is a proud sponsor of the event, with all proceeds going towards the Dease Lake Recreation Centre and the local Tahltan community. #TourdeTelegraph #Skeena
