We attended the launch of the RRESS - Réseau de recherche en économie sociale et solidaire on Thursday night at Laval University. This major research network will promote interactions, exchanges and innovations between Québec’s research establishments with the goal of strengthening the social economy ecosystem. Expertly hosted by the Québec City area’s unparalleled authority in emceeing social economy events, Université TÉLUQ's Myriam Michaud, attendees heard from UQAM’s Valérie Michaud, UQO’s Marie-Laure DIOH, Ph.D, Laval’s Luc Audebrand, and Université de Sherbrooke’s Claude-André Guillotte, professors and leaders of the new initiative. #socialeconomy #research #quebec

We had a wonderful time last week with this workshop with Y4Y Québec in Montreal. During the time, Hoffman Wolff covered the basics of the social economy and then led a brainstorming process where the participants came up with their own great ideas for social economy enterprises! We were happy to attend the Pôle des entreprises d'économie sociale C-N's annual meeting this morning. The event started with a presentation by Souleymane Guissé, M.A. of the Comité Sectoriel de main-d'oeuvre - économie sociale et action communautaire on diversity and inclusion in the social economy. We also heard from Philippe Hamel, the Pole's new executive director, while Myriam Michaud of Université TÉLUQ led the meeting. Keep up the great work!
