Team Santis attended and sponsored the Reboot Healthcare Summit in Vancouver yesterday and today. We heard some informative and inspiring presentations about the opportunities available if we can harness the power of health data and artificial intelligence. Daniel Carbin introduced one of the panels and gave context about the complexities of these issues and the ways Santis Health helps clients determine the best path forward and drive meaningful change.

Reflecting on an inspiring experience at the North American Conference on Integrated Care in Calgary (#NACIC24), where we had the opportunity to host a workshop on 'Integrating Equity into Evolving Models of Care.' A recurring theme was the urgent need for a paradigm shift in healthcare delivery, moving towards models grounded in collective impact and transformational leadership. The conversations reinforced the idea that achieving meaningful change requires collaboration across sectors, a commitment to health equity, and a focus on person-centered care. Our Santis team felt energized by the shared commitment among leaders, clinicians, and community representatives to advance integrated care towards improving population health.

Vrinda Agnihotri (right), a student in Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management, completed a co-op work term at Santis Health in summer 2024, where she was overseen by Danielle Flieler (left), Senior Consultant, and Peter Cleary, Health Care Strategist. Here, Vrinda sheds light on the experience: “I assisted in the logistical planning of two roundtable discussions that engaged high-level stakeholders including former senior-level bureaucrats, representatives of non-government organizations, people with lived experiences and academics from across the country. I was involved in outreach for both roundtables to assemble the groups and adapted during last-minute changes to ensure there was a representative group to speak on the issues. The professional experience I gained throughout my co-op placement has been an integral part of shaping my professional growth and developing my interests within the vast world of government and policy. I am more confident now in wanting to pursue further education in the field of health policy, especially with the knowledge and experience I’ve gained at Santis.”
