We are currently open for LCSWs, Board Certified Psychiatrists, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine Physicians licensed to practice in California interested in providing behavioral health / mental health services. MDs coming in will join the team in providing behavioral health services to Medi-Cal and Medicare patients, building your own schedules and practicing the way you want. Full credentialing, payer enrollment, and medical mal-practice insurance will be provided. This is your chance to be your own boss, and scale your practice as you like while making a difference. We are looking for folks that are keen on growing our presence in the State, while being committed to our mission of expanding equitable access to care for all patients! It aims to diverse and impact-driven founders, validate transformative technologies, and pilot innovative solutions that enhance health equity, access, quality, and cost for underserved communities in California and Colorado. We are honored to have made it to this stage, a testament to our efforts to advance healthcare through innovation, collaboration, and community building. A huge congratulations to all the amazing companies moving forward with us in these programs and working side by side with us to improve health equity and change the face of healthcare.

Last week, at Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First - Demo Day 2024, Dr. William Cherniak took to the stage to talk about the most pressing challenges in our healthcare system and how Rocket Doctor is helping to address them. It was also an opportunity to provide a first-look at our new AI-driven solutions. Bill explained how unnecessary visits to the ER, limited access to key populations and MD burnout are just a few of the factors Rocket Doctor is addressing, and how our tech is providing solutions for healthcare providers to bridge access to care for millions of patients across the US and Canada. Introducing our latest innovations: RD Connect: A system that automates triage for virtual care, helping patients determine if they need an in-person visit or if they can receive care virtually. RD Health Voyager: Streamlining administrative tasks by summarizing and synthesizing medical records from numerous sources into concise, actionable information. We’re thrilled to have been a part of this inaugural AI First Accelerator program, and know this is just the beginning to develop further solutions that empower healthcare providers and patients across North America! We are thrilled to announce that Brian Geller, our Medical Director for Canada, will be a guest speaker at the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP) Conference 2024. The conference runs from June 9-12 at TCU Place in Saskatoon. Brian will discuss the pivotal role of virtual care in emergency departments, how it can assist in relieving emergency department volumes, and how it supports the sustainability of underserved ERs. CAEP24 is a fantastic conference, bringing together emergency physicians from across Canada to network, collaborate, and discuss new and emerging research areas in Canadian Emergency Medicine. Attendees will have the opportunity to apply up-to-date evidence to inform clinical and health systems decisions, advance equity, diversity, and inclusion in health care, and integrate best practices, techniques, innovations, and strategies into emergency medicine practice. #CAEP2024

BC Rocket Doctors Get-Together! This week, Rocket Doctor hosted an amazing event with MDs on the platform in Vancouver! It was a night filled with refreshments, great food, and great company. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, unwind, and also to discuss some exciting initiatives in the province that are helping us expand access to care. This includes the setup of a Longitudinal Family Practice (CareSpace LFP) and a new weight and health management program. Thank you to everyone who attended, looking forward to more gatherings like this in the future!

And that’s a wrap on Inventures 2024! It was an awesome few days with thousands of folks converging on Calgary to share ideas and experiences around building new and exciting technology. It was a huge honor to be invited to speak with a brilliant group of experts on digital health to bridge the divide for access to care for rural and underserved communities. I learned a lot from the panelists, as well as audience (who was really engaged!) Got to share some of what we’re up to at Rocket Doctor with our innovative model of empowering MDs to collaborate in comprehensively caring for patients across the Province, and came away more motivated than ever for our work improving access to care for people across Alberta, as well as Canada as a whole, California and NY. It was awesome seeing some of the other 2023 SXSW Alberta Innovates Growth and Scale Fellowship Grads / team, catch-up with friends / supporters / partners, hear from the AI Health team, and think about the cross section of public and private in the delivery of healthcare services. Also learnt a bunch about brain health, meeting new folks at Hotchkiss Brain Institute and Ontario Brain Institute. Heard words of wisdom from the CAN Health Network team, caught up with Plug and Play Canada, and dug into ways to partner with Hospitals and the broader health system in Alberta to enhance connections to primary care and prevent low acuity ER visits. After the conference wrapped we had a great gathering of Alberta MDs on RD who live in Calgary - so awesome seeing folks! Last but not least managed time to get a 35km training ride in up to almost 2000 feet elevation gain (7200 feet total) at Highwood Pass, although got snowed-out just before the summit, and then had to get help from the rangers for a Grizzly in the parking lot! Wrapped up with an overnight in the ER back in Pincher Creek (naturally 😅) Whirlwind of a time. Next stop, Vancouver! Patty W.
