******** As part of our commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the investment industry, we are thrilled to have sponsored the Women in Asset Management (WAM) program at the Ivey Business School for the third consecutive year! Following Toronto’s Job Shadow Day, we welcomed over 70 secondary and cégep students from 16 schools for our Job Shadow Day in Montréal on April 24! Students arrived at our morning host, PSP Investments’ office for a speaker panel, workshop and opening address from WCM’s president and CEO Tanya van Biesen. Professionals from our afternoon hosts (firms tagged below) then welcomed students for tours of their offices and presentations, with ample opportunity for students to ask questions. It is so encouraging to see so many young students getting interested in a career in finance — our Job Shadow Day program allows us to connect with students early on, and start building the talent pipeline of women and gender-diverse individuals in finance! Our thanks to our sponsors and our dedicated WCM team members: Tiffany Holtz for leading this successful event, and Odette Hutchings and Chantelle Soares for attending and providing support throughout the morning. We would also like to extend our appreciation to our Québec Steering Committee for all of their assistance and hard work to help make the day a success, with a special thanks to Mira Nedyalkova, for assisting with the delivery of WCM's Elevator Pitch Workshop! We thank all the amazing teachers who inspired their students to join us and pursue their interest in a career in finance. Afternoon hosts: National Bank of Canada, CN Investment Division (CNID), TD Securities, Desjardins Capital Markets, RBC Capital Markets, BMO Capital Markets, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ)
