Polar is a proud long-time supporter of Canadian Stage, one of Canada’s leading contemporary performing arts organizations. Canadian Stage’s mission is to be the leading contemporary performing arts organization in the country. For over thirty years, Canadian Stage has employed thousands of artists, developed hundreds of productions, and received awards for its productions. This month, Polar is excited to sponsor The Lehman Trilogy: A family and a company that changed the world. On a cold September morning in 1844 a young man from Bavaria stands on a New York dockside, dreaming of a new life in the new world. He is joined by his two brothers and an American epic begins. 163 years later, the firm they establish – Lehman Brothers – spectacularly collapses into bankruptcy and triggers one of the largest financial crises in history. Featuring a cast of three playing the Lehman brothers, their sons and grandsons in an extraordinary feat of storytelling told in three parts on a single evening. We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Ivey's Women in Asset Management and are excited to see its success and growth across Canada this year. Learn more about the program and its expansion: https://lnkd.in/gWzdTC29
Ivey is expanding its barrier-breaking Women in Asset Management program to undergraduate women across Canada in an effort to prepare a larger and more diversified group of women for careers in asset management! Starting November 6, all second-year university students in Canada who self-identify as women can apply for the 2024 program, which begins in-class sessions in May. “Expansion is important on two dimensions. Bringing together women from different universities will provide a richer in-class experience. And with our sponsors primarily located in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec, we hope to balance both the student intake diversity with sponsorship opportunities diversity,” said Stephen Foerster, HBA '81, co-director of the program.
