About us
The PG Chamber of Commerce strives to connect, engage, and enhance the quality of life in our community by providing opportunities for businesses to succeed. The Chamber is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by the members and a professional staff of six. The work of the Chamber is carried out by staff and volunteer committees and task forces. Together, we work hard to support our 850-plus membership. We speak on matters affecting our members, research business issues, encourage investment, work to broaden the tax base, support crime prevention programs, recognize the importance of education in providing employment skills, are aware of environmental and cultural issues and maintain contact and work with politicians to improve the manner and method of doing business in Prince George. For newcomers, we are a primary resource for researching and understanding our community.

Today, EVP and Partner, Allie Meeres, and Director, Public Policy, Jack Middleton, attended the #TrueNorth Business Development Forum, hosted by the Prince George Chamber of Commerce and Lheidli T'enneh Nation at the House of Ancestors - "Uda Dune Baiyoh.” Allie moderated the 'Building First Nations Partnerships in Early Mineral Exploration' panel which featured Keerit Jutla from AME - Association for Mineral Exploration, Willie Sellars from Williams Lake First Nation, and Vesta Filipchuk from NorthWest Copper. This was a great gathering that focused on how early mineral exploration can work with Indigenous nations to explore for the minerals that will build sustainable partnerships to power a resilient and prosperous future for all Canadians. “Come sit at the table with our chief and council. We would love to converse about the capacity we have in house and about how we can be the best stewards of the land,” said Willie Sellars during the panel discussion. Sedgwick is a proud sponsor of this event and it was great to re-connect with industry partners and colleagues in PG. Thank you to Colleen Sparrow, Lheidli T'enneh Nation and the Prince George Chamber of Commerce for organizing.

We were proud to sponsor the 2024 #TrueNorth Business Development Forum hosted by the Prince George Chamber of Commerce and Lheidli T'enneh Nation. The event, held on June 11th at the House of Ancestors Conference Center in Prince George, focused on navigating reconciliation, diversity, and innovation in business in northern BC. During our session, we had the privilege of sharing inspiring stories from Caroline Sam of Nak’azdli Whut’en First Nation and vincent chingee of McLeod Lake Indian Band. They discussed their journeys within our environment department, highlighting their contributions to the construction and operation of our mine. It was a meaningful opportunity to engage in important dialogues and showcase our commitment to Indigenous partnerships and sustainable mining practices. #TrueNorth2024 #MiningIndustry #EnvironmentalStewardship #CommunityEngagement
