Lions Foundation Of Canada Dog Guides unveiled plans and renderings for a new national, state-of-the-art training school and called on Canadians to support "The Difference", a $50 million fundraising campaign to fund construction of the new facility (scheduled to open in 2026). At the celebratory event attended by hundreds of supporters, staff, recipients of Dog Guides, and volunteers, Pet Valu and its philanthropic Companions for Change™ program gave the campaign a boost with $500,000 donation to fund the school’s Puppy Training Room. The modern, purpose-built room, which will be used by puppies, staff, puppy volunteers and foster parents will serve as a critical hub in the new school, to provide the puppies with the best possible start before they enter formal training!
