Hey Onyx Fam! We’re wrapping up the week with a big shoutout to Unilever Canada for an unforgettable "Discover Unilever" event yesterday at their head office! This #FeelGoodFriday, we’re celebrating the incredible opportunity they provided for our Onyx Scholars to connect, learn, and grow. From an inspiring panel discussion to a fun-filled networking session, the day was a huge success! ✨ A huge thank you to the event coordinators GB (Gbenga) Ajomale, ACIPM, PHRi™ CDR Jetaun Crocker, Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) and the entire Unilever team for hosting this best in class event! Our scholars had the chance to get up close and personal with industry leaders, including Julie Filipuzzi Head, Customer Experience; Brand Managers Akhiojemi Oje and Maureen Kitheka, Bruce Bugden from CBD Excellence; Gloria Chan, Finance Manager; and Himanshu Sharma, Maintenance Engineer representing the Unilever factory. The panelists consistently highlighted Unilever’s trust-based environment and how these high standards are reflected in on-the-job performance and strong working relationships. After the panel, our scholars enjoyed a lively networking session complete with refreshments, a chance to spin the prize wheel, and shopping bags filled with Unilever product samples! Unilever’s commitment to putting people at the heart of their products was evident throughout the event, and we’re grateful for their dedication to the relationship with the Onyx Initiative.
