Nov. 3-9 is National Shelter Appreciation week, a time to acknowledge the effort and dedication of animal shelters, and the hard-working individuals dedicated to giving animals the second chance they deserve. When an animal comes into the care of the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society, we do everything we can to help them find their second chance 🏡🐾 When a seven month old cat, now known as Johnny, arrived at the Ontario SPCA Muskoka Animal Centre, it was clear he needed some serious TLC. He required a Femoral Head Ostectomy surgery due to damage in his femur and the part of the pelvis that attaches to the femur, which led to discomfort and mobility issues.
