About us
In 2018, world-recognized technical staffing group Morson acquired Canadian technical recruitment firm CTSNA, now known as Morson Canada. For years, CTSNA has been known for leadership and expertise in power generation and power transmission and distribution in Canada. Over the past two years, Morson Canada and CTSNA has brought together the knowledge and expertise of both organizations. Through successful integration of proven best practices, infrastructure and backend technology the new Morson Canada now offers more to both clients and talent in power generation (nuclear, wind and solar), power transmission, marine and shipbuilding, aerospace and defence, rail, construction and advanced manufacturing - on a global scale. Employers working with the new Morson Canada are experiencing greater choice and flexibility, with a much larger talent pool on which to draw. At the same time, those seeking new career opportunities now enjoy a significantly broader range of choices – more verticals, more geographical range. The likelihood of finding that “perfect fit” is now improved on a number of fronts. While the new integrated company provides expanded global reach and resources, it has not lost sight of the personalized service and attention for which it’s known. “We’re both known for connecting skills and people with our clients’ needs. But there’s more to it. The most important factor was finding a partner who shares the same core values and above all else, respects and cares for employees, employers and contractors as much as we do. We’re delighted that we have found that in Morson Canada.” - Neil Smith, founder of CTSNA It truly is the best of both worlds.

Earlier last month, colleagues from Morson Group's latest Leadership Development Program cohort concluded their time on the inaugural leadership course. The program delved into a range of topics, theories and presentations focusing around the Morson Group values and equipping everyone with the tools and understanding to go back into the business as the best version of themselves; able to empower their teams and positively contribute to the wider business. A huge thank you to our Course Leaders, Ian Knowlson 📈 Influencer Growth Coach, Katie Winstanley Chartered FCIPD and Becky Burgess for their invaluable knowledge and support throughout this transformative journey. Last night we held our first Contractor Appreciation Summer Kick-Off Party in Kincardine at Bar Down! The event celebrated our contractors' hard work and loyalty, which make us a success in Nuclear Power. We had a fantastic turnout and a memorable evening with prizes from local Bruce County businesses; Mill Creek Chocolates, 3 Sheets Brewing, Kanovie Designs, Offshore Bakery, South-Port Golf Course and the Wismer house. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and a special thanks to Bar Down and their excellent food and top-tier customer service as always! #Morson #ContractorAppreciation #NuclearPower

On the weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to compete in The Subaru Series Guelph Lakes Olympic Distance Triathlon. It consisted of a 1.5km swim, 36km bike and 10km run, a journey that pushed my limits and taught me invaluable lessons. I managed to convince one of my colleagues Xavier Ashurst to enter the race with me (Thanks Xav). As I reflect on this experience, I came away with three key lessons I learned during my triathlon that led to the successful outcome. 1. Preparation: Laying the Foundation for Success Preparation was the cornerstone of my triathlon journey. I started mapping out training schedules 6 months in advance to ensure I was ready both physically and mentally for the race distances. This consisted of training multiple times a week with a mix of swims, runs and bike rides. I also focused on nutrition and rest to help with the training and more importantly aid in the recovery of my body post training. 2. Commitment / Discipline: Staying the Course Competing in a triathlon requires unwavering commitment and discipline. It meant early mornings, late evenings, and sometimes sacrificing leisure activities and a reduction in my beer consumption! To ensure accountability I find there is strength in numbers. Throughout our training, Xavier and I would continually hold each other accountable with our training sessions. It’s very easy to convince yourself to skip a workout. Less so, when you have to tell someone else that you missed it! 3. Mentorship: Gaining Insight from Experience I am lucky enough to have a friend Jacob Rivers who has competed in 2 Ironman Triathlons and 7 Half Ironman’s who also participated in the race. Jake provided me with incredible guidance, and shared his experiences, which significantly improved my performance. For example, when he asked what I was planning on eating on race day. I answered with Protein Bars. He responded with bad idea! With his recommendation, I then switched to Gels high in carbs to re-up glycogen levels and provide quick fuel. Had I not gained his feedback I may still be lying on the side of the running course! He also helped Xav and I navigate the setup and registration process on race day which for newbies like Xav and I, was pretty overwhelming. Thank you Jake! As I continue my journey in both sports and business, I am reminded that the principles of success are universal. Whether on the racecourse or in the boardroom, the path to victory lies in preparation, commitment, discipline, and mentorship. I am already looking to sign up for another race and will work to improve my results!

Parades, fly-overs and marking the anniversary of #DDay in style 🚴🏼🚴🏼♀️ Over three days in Normandy last week, our Morson charity bike ride team pedalled hard and visited sites including Utah, Omaha and Juno beaches, scenes of some of history's most decisive battles, and paid tribute to those who gave and sacrificed so much, on the 80th anniversary of #DDay 💙🤍❤️ During the trip, wreaths were laid at key memorials on behalf of our Canadian and US teams, including Juno beach, the invasion of which was the responsibility of the First Canadian Army, and near Omaha beach, where thousands of US soldiers lost their lives in the push towards capturing the area. The team raised over £18,000 and counting for our 2024 UK charity partners, #DementiaUK and #CrohnsandColitis as part of the trip. We're proud to have done this in support of our charities and our dedication to supporting the ex-forces community. #WW2 #Normandy #Charity #WeAreMorson #Canada #USA
