With Canada’s declining entrepreneurship, guess who’s boosting the country’s efforts to change that course? 🤔 Immigrant entrepreneurs! 🚀🚀🚀 BDC just released a report that highlights the incredible contributions and potential of immigrant entrepreneurship to Canada’s economy and innovation. While many of the stats aren't necessarily new, they signal a growing recognition of this untapped golden opportunity for Canada. Link to the report below. This is a pivotal moment in Canada’s entrepreneurial landscape. By 2034, immigrants will represent over 40% of Canadian entrepreneurs, with Ontario and B.C. leading the charge. This surge in immigrant-led businesses brings innovation, job creation, and trade diversification — all crucial elements that will define our country’s economic prosperity. But that next great chapter in the Canadian story won’t live up to its full potential if we don’t make the right investments and institute sound policies now. Entrepreneurship is unequivocally the bedrock of the Canadian economy. For Canada to live up to its truest potential and secure our rightful place among the world’s most innovative and productive economies, it’s imperative that the pathway to success is inclusive entrepreneurship.
