Minnesota-based wish kid Evelyn saddled up and travelled all the way to Calgary to visit nearby High River, the set of her favourite TV show, Heartland on CBC! 🐎 This starstruck 17-year-old, who was diagnosed with a heart condition, got the chance to rein in her excitement as she watched filming, met the cast and crew, and took in all the behind-the-scenes action of the ranching drama with her family. The unique wish come true was made possible through Make-A-Wish Minnesota and our hardworking team in Alberta. Later on, Charlotte was diagnosed with a chronic disease and spent the next three years G-tube fed and in hospital beds due to medical complications. Enchanted by fairytales and princesses, she found joy and courage in their stories during her toughest times. At three and a half, Charlotte's special wish to visit a Florida theme park came true, marking a magical first family vacation. 🌈👑 "Words cannot express how magical it was—the impact it had, and still to this day, on our family," says her mom, Alicia. Now nine years old, Charlotte continues to manage her diagnosis with regular medical appointments and testing. ✨ Tochi's wish came true! Recently, this courageous 6-year-old travelled to the stunning beaches of Jamaica and it was the most incredible experience. Though Tochi is unable to communicate verbally, his joy was as bright as the Caribbean sun! His days were filled with what he loves to do most: playing in the sand and splashing around in the crystal-clear waters 🏖️ Lola, Tochi’s mom, shared, “We had a lovely time together as a family with nothing to worry about.” This special trip was a much-needed break after his challenging journey with a critical illness.
