On May 25, 2024, Litens fielded a team of 12 participants in the Jack Ride 2024. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere and excitement of the live ride. In addition to the standard routes on pavement, the Jack Ride introduced the option of a 40km and 80km gravel road routes, which several of our more adventurous riders attempted. The Jack Ride is Canada’s ride for youth mental health. It is organized by Jack.org whose mission is; To make sure all young people have access to the mental health support they deserve. Young people are struggling right now with social isolation, anxiety, and uncertainty. The demand for Jack.org services is higher than ever, and each dollar raised helps to ensure that Jack.org’s mental health education and resources remain viable and pertinent in the wake of COVID-19. Our team has yet again exceeded our fundraising targets for this year, four years in a row! Congratulations to everyone on such a great effort.

Suicide is still the leading health-related cause of death for young people in Canada. Things need to change and as part of Litens initiative to support youth mental health, we have partnered with Jack.org, Canada's only charity training and empowering young leaders to revolutionize mental health in every province and territory. The work done by the jack.org team is invaluable to making sure that the youth of Canada have access to the mental health support that they deserve. Since our first Jack Ride in 2018, we have raised close to $300,000 for Jack.org. Litens is very proud of our fundraising efforts over the last six years and is continuing to support the charity by helping to raise more funds. Litens recently participated in the University of Toronto's Professional Experience Year Co-op Mock Interview Event, showcasing its commitment to nurture talent and foster professional growth.   Miho Sakata, Global MBD Manager and Maryam Talimi, Subject Matter Expert, Product Engineering, represented Litens at the event. They engaged with 16 students, offering personalized guidance to refine their interview skills and explore career opportunities in the automotive industry. The event provided an invaluable platform for students to gain exposure to industry experts and enhance their understanding of potential career paths. This event was a great opportunity for interaction between the students and industry professionals, underscoring Litens' dedication to invest in the next generation of engineering leaders.
